While industries face growing challenges in energy efficiency, digital transformation, workforce competence, and sustainability, there is often no coordinated platform to connect maintenance professionals, share best practices, or promote the strategic value of maintenance across sectors.
Wim Vancauwenberghe, Director of BEMAS – the Belgian Maintenance Association – will share how a national maintenance society can play a key role in supporting industrial competitiveness. Drawing from over 25 years of experience leading BEMAS, he will outline the concrete added value such an association can bring to companies, professionals, and society.
In this presentation, Wim will explore how maintenance associations can build professional communities, strengthen competence development, advocate for the industry, and accelerate innovation. He will also offer practical recommendations for how such an initiative could be launched or developed in regions where it is currently missing.
