Lubrication is the biggest single step in rotating assets Reliability improvement. Still, so often done improperly. A simple question reveals a fundamental problem:
“Is bearing better now?”
The answer is usually not there, meaning that the greasing is performed without evidence that is needed in the first place, without knowing the necessary quantity, and without any information about the outcome. Today, when we are deeply in Industry 4.0, when AI is widely used, it seems that greasing is often done based on assumptions corrected by estimates, strongly relying on hope.
There is a much better way, and Ultrasound is the right technology to grease bearings right.
